Believe it or not but Molokai is indirectly one of the reasons I got into photography. I grew up sifting through my dads old film photos of when he lived here and between that and nat geo magazines, it drove me to pick up a camera and capture something beautiful. This island has already exceeded my expectations. The people here have opened their arms, hearts, and homes to us, and shared their sacred land. They have taught us deep respect for their culture and people. I never knew there was such a warm and welcoming place so close to our home. This trip was short but we all learned so much.
